Thing One and Thing Two Party

We love this amazing Dr. Seuss party for twin boys turning one!  The creative mom called them "Thing One and Thing Two!"  She kept the color scheme turquoise and red throughout all the table decorations, banners and candy bar.  At Palm Tree Playground we work hard to help you throw the perfect birthday party and this one was a blast for everyone who attended!

Let it Go!

Here is our rendition of "Let it Go!"  When You Wish Entertainment was awesome and their "Ice Queen" led our party goers in a sing along.   Here is a clip from it.  At first everyone was talking but soon even the parents were a quiet, captivated audience!

Our Own Frozen Party

Here is our Frozen party we had for our seven-year-old daughter and her friend.
Wow- we had so much fun!
The source list for the Cake, Arrendale Bunting, Elsa Costumes and Bow, Decorations and Ice Queen Entertainer are at the end of this post in case you are planning your own Frozen party!

When You Wish Entertainment's Ice Queen was simply fabulous!  With years of Disney experience under her belt, this Ice Queen knew exactly how to make sure each child felt special.

The Ice Queen explaining that the clouds are "snow flurries."
Reading Frozen and signing with the girls.  (Video to follow in tomorrow's post.)

Frozen Cake
DIY Centerpieces.  These were so fun, easy and inexpensive to make!  The source list is below.  The snowflakes were only $10 for 48 pieces!  The Mason drinking glasses were $7 for 12!  I found a picture of Anna, Elsa and Olaf from Pinterest and cut it out and just stuck it in the jar.  The fabric is scrap from the DIY buntings.  The girls loved these centerpieces!

DIY Ceiling Centerpiece.  We took three large snowflakes and attached them together.  They hung just a few feet above the girls' heads.  They loved looking up at the "snow flurry!"

Huge Silver Snowflakes
Their craft activity was to make Frozen wands with beautiful ribbons to attach.  This was a mess-free activity that doubled as a favor!
Creating Frozen Wands

No Frozen party is complete without Olaf and since we are a beach-themed indoor playground...

We have a FROZEN party tomorrow at Palm Tree Playground.  Since our indoor playground is beach themed it just makes sense that Olaf found summer here.  More photos tomorrow!

2014 Memory Jar

We made these adorable Memory Jars at Mommy & Me this morning!  You can download the "2014 Memories" tag from a fabulous blog we found here.  The large Mason jars are from Whole Foods, the Ikat, Chevron and Greek Key papers are all from Joann's as well as the twine.  My new year's resolution this year is to enjoy life and remember all the things I have to appreciate day to day.

I hope everyone who received one of these jars today will have fun and meaningful memories to look back on when they read the slips of paper this New Year's Eve.

Decorating with Pink, Turquoise and Purple Pom Poms!

Olivia loves the fairy Abby from Sesame Street and her mom found a great way to personalize the decorations for this party.  They had everything from homemade pom poms hanging from the ceiling to "Magic Pretzel Wands" that were offered in adorable pink polka dot pails.

Happy Birthday Olivia!
